Introducing James Salmons as a Consultant To The Carp Particles UK Team

We are pleased to welcome James Salmons as a Consultant to the Carp Particles UK team.
James has caught some truly beautiful fish and some of you might recognise him from various forms of angling media.

We asked James about his top tips when using our particle and this is what he said;

At the right time of year I believe the use of particle baits can be the difference between blanking and catching, in some cases catching a few as well!
Boilies are a great bait and can be deadly when used on their own but for getting the fish feeding so hard that they’ll literally uproot the whole lake bed to get to every last morsel you really want to be using particles. The feeding response over particles can often drive the fish in to a frenzy, destroying everything in their way which means they often drop caution when it comes to feeding around the hook baits, leading to more bites.
I often use particles to prep spots, especially when they have light coverings of weed on them. This is a great way to get the spots cleaned off in order for you to carefully lay your rigs on. You can often tell the difference with your marker rod and will literally feel the spot change between bait ups.
I won’t hesitate to fish over big hits of particles, especially during the warmer months. Once you get fish in the swim you can usually hold them there as long as it takes to get a bite. Once you build the swim and get the required feeding response the fish will just keep coming back for more and this is when multiple hits of fish can be taken.
